Overview
Chandernahan Lake Trek is in the south-eastern slopes of the Himalayas. Located in the Rohru town in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.Chandernahan Lake is not just the trekking place, rather it hasspiritual importantance in Rohru. As per the regional belief, it is the birth place of Devta Shikru Naharaj (God), and followers believe that once in every ten years Moon (Chandra Maa) visits the lake for a ritual bath. So on the name of Chandra i.e Chand (Moon) this name had given name Chandernahan.
It is believed that there are 7 lakes but only 6 lakes are visible to us but the seventy lake is one ofmightiest lake among them but till today no one had ever seen this lake.”So this trek also gives trekkers some thrilling moments during the trek.
Local people believes that lake is a holy home of Goddess Kali and one of the mightiest Lord Jakh.
The alluring temple of Devta Jakh is located in the heart of Rohru in Janglikh village. The temple is nearly 500 years old and its architecture and design are some of the attractive things for the travelers and trekkers. Before entering this historic place Janglikh, firstly you will be welcomed by a mesmerizing water fall of approximately 50metets truly a treat for eyes.
The altitude of Chandernahan trek takes you to around 4200 meters above sea level and definitely it takes you on the peak of thrill and advanture.
This is one of most beautiful trekking routes of the region. Chandernahan Lake Trek is truly mesmerizing. It is the trekkers paradise, has everything right from the Sky kissing mountains, deep virgin forests to gurgling streams, waterfalls after every 5km of trek which leave travelers spellbind. The trek starts from the heritage and historic Janglik Village.

Iternaries
Day 1 - Shimla to Janglikh(2500mtrs)
On arrival at Shimla you will be met by our representative at bus stand and transfer you to Janglikh.
Drive through the beautiful valley, en-route Khadapathar or via Narkanda and Rohru.
The journey to Janglikh will take almost 6-7 hours.
After briefing, camp overnight at Janglikh village.
The day ends with the bonefire , afterdinner.
Day 2 - Janglikh to Dayara Thach
Start leisurely.
One can explore the village. The village is purely heritage and picturesque.
After breakfast trek towards Dayara Thach.
The trek winds through the thick forests, beautiful meadows and grassy land ascents.
It’s a moderate trek , takes around 4-5 hours to reach Dayara Thach.
Dinner and night stay at beautiful meadow Dayara Thach
Day 3 - Dayara thach to LithamThach (Nearby Chandernahan waterfall)
After breakfast start excursion to LithamThach through the meadow of Mounti Thach.
These meadows are truly heaven for nature’s lover.
After 5-6 hours of ascend you will reach Litham thach . Now enjoy the beauty of Nature as you are infront of beautiful Chandernahan waterfall.
Today we will Also cover a newly formed Mundar Lake.
Back to Litham.
We will camp nearby waterfall in Litham Thach.
Day 4 - Chandernahan Waterfall to seven Glacial Ponds
Breakfast at early morning. After breakfast move forward to Seven FrozenGlacial Ponds.
These Seven Glacial Ponds are the source of Pabbar river.
Fifth one is the biggest one.
Back to Chander Nahan waterfall campsite.
Day 5 - Litham to Dayara Thatch
Start leisurely
After breakfast start excursion back to Dayara Thach through Dayara Thach.
Dayara Thach is the Most Beautiful Place in this trek.
That long Meadows with Herds will definitely stole your heart.
Enjoy dinner and sleep under stars in Dayara thach.
